Gillian's wardrobe

Let me start by saying...I've been watching this movie for years, it was my mom's favorite movie when it was first released in theatres and she passed the love of it to me!

Anyway....I *adore* Gillian's wardrobe, especially the black number when she confesses to Shep in his office. Wow! I love her leopard print heels, nice touch! Even Merle's emerald green gown worn to the Zodiac - fabulous!
Why don't we dress like this anymore? Those were the days!

Yes! I want all her clothes--dresses, shoes, matching elbow-length gloves--love them all! :-)

I agree! Her wardrobe in this movie was fabulous! I loved her leopard cape and backless black dress.

Jean Louis did the clothes. I even liked the last dress she had on, the white chiffon with the yellow underdress.

I loved the wine velvet backless gown she wears to the Zodiac. Love those garnet looking beads sewn on to the sleeeves to look like bangles.

I LOVE that dress. Kim was such a feline lady, she wore clothes very well.

I loved the wardrobe in this movie and would love to own clothes like that.

I too found her wardrobe stunning. My favorite was the red dress at the club, but the black dress from the confession scene was amazing. I wonder if they had to sew her into that one.

I also thought the colors choices/symbolism were fascinating. Did you notice?
Red when she was a witch (and happy about it)
Black when she did not want to be one.
White when she was not

Today's fashion is garbage compared to the late 1950s Today we We all have to be skinny legged with no boobs or waist or hips, like boys. What a shame. I also have to give kudos to that wonderful Hermione Gingold and the great Elsa Lanchester, to say nothing of Jack Lemmon and Wildman Ernie Kovacs.

Women were skinny back then. The poster child for fat women - Marilyn Monroe had a 22" waist.
