Kurosawa's Best?
I personally think that this is Kurosawa's best. I liked it even better than his higher-ranked masterpieces like Seven Samurai and Yojimbo. I love all of his filsm though.

shareI'm not a fair judge as I haven't made much of a dent in Kurosawa's filmography, I've seen his essentials, although I need to rewatch some of them. But this film looked incredible (that damn witch was freaky), I've always liked the story of Macbeth so overall the lasting impact this film has had just one day later is pretty great.

The only one I like more is Tengoku to jigoku (1963).
Don't listen to the negative ones; their arguments are irrational.
