I can already see it now. A Black person falsely accused, bigoted White men and women of colour being the voice of reason. I hope they never make it and if they do that if fails miserably.
shareI thought about that when I watched it recently -- it's the sort of film that could never be remade today without being butchered into oblivion.
shareI was thinking about this and Honestly, this film doesn't need a modern-day remake. Everything brought up in this film easily translates to issues we are still dealing with today. Usually remakes unless, being strictly cash grabs have the goal of either translating ideas into the modern day to give them new context or coming at those ideas from a completely new perspective.
The thing is with this film the remake could only rehash the same issues. They really couldn't change the context without completely changing the film so a remake could ONLY be redundant for this film.
