best court drama tv show of all time?

i say yes.

reply

Yes, I watch the episodes on MeTV.

reply

The only thing I'd put above it are the Law & Order episodes where Sam Waterston's in court.

reply

just 12 episodes in and i can tell there are bad and good episodes much like all crime dramas

reply

True, but I thought the characters of Perry, Della Street, and Paul Drake made them watchable. And at its best I thought it was great.

reply

i like questioning murder mystery shows. even the ones i like.

reply

I agree. One of my favorite series of all time. I even liked it as a young kid. I never liked Ironside because they "stole" Perry Mason. ;-)

reply

The bastards!

reply

:-)

The Good Wife and its sequel are pretty good.
I also used to like LA Law a lot.
I used to love Perry Mason as a kid, but the series at that time were so limited, and so much the same. They have not been able to reproduce Perry Mason either with that pathetic new show.
What's good about the old Perry Mason is that it was solid and dependable.

reply

You seen Boston Legal? Lot of fun. Spader is a hoot.

reply

Pretty much. I love this show. Burr is fantastic.

reply

Yep.

"The Defenders", which ran from 1961 to 1965 on CBS and starred E.G. Marshall, was very good, too.
