Another Jungle Movie with a Sci-Fi Element

...But, don't be expecting much. In the movie The Jungle (1952) we got a coherent plot and some woolly mammoths in a remote corner of India. Here, back in India, we get not much plot wrapped around a LOAD of stock footage and some Sabu. Apparently, there was to be a TV series starring Sabu and some footage was taken to write a screenplay around.

Anyway, the sci-fi element is radioactive rocks left on Earth a long time ago by a flying saucer. We find this out in the opening of the film and never learn more. The rocks are of interest to our standard, boring, scientist and the even less interesting villain. And don't expect much from that flying saucer. It pops up and may be doing something, but the what and why are not explained.

If you need to see more Sabu, he's in this part of the time and plays Sabu, the local village's designated "jungle boy", directing the Elephant wranglers stock footage from the requisite distance... He was in his thirties by this time, so that kinda sucks.

Sabu in boxers wielding a Thompson--I'm in!

A pity that doesn't happen in this movie. It must be in Savage Drums, which I can't find. Loads of titles with "Drums", loads of "Savage", but that one title just escapes me.

I think “Dr. Cyclops” (1940) was set in the jungle.

Yeah, that sure does count (color, too, which is hard to find in jungle si-fi. The Monster from Green Hell does have a brief color clip at the finale...

I think my favorite jungle pic with a sci-fi element is The Flame Barrier.
