*Godzilla (1998)
*Godzilla 2000

You are getting there I would highly recommend that you get Godzilla,Mothra and King Ghidorah Giant Monsters All Out Attack,it is one of the best. Although I like so many I'm hardly impartial I'd also say you have to Get Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster a classic Showa era film.

OVERVIEW

SHOWA series are old school and fun, but not much re-watchable after
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster.

HEISEI series are my favorites. They took the best parts of the Showa series, and made them more modern, but still old school feeling. The new and old monsters are awesome.

MILLENIUM series are OK, but i don't enjoy the newly added CGI.

which region do you live in? because if you live in R1, plz tell me how you got "the return of godzilla" and "godzilla vs. biollante"

reply

I got them from sumogorilla.com. They have region-free DVDs of the Japanese versions. They're pretty good quality, too...anamorphic widescreen and English subtitles.

reply

have you ordered from them before? because i really want to complete my collection, but only if the dvd's look good and really work.

GODZILLA RULES

reply

this board is dead, but I figured I'd chime in.

To date I have every Godzilla movie except for Godzilla VS. Megalon (which Mediablasters are currently in dispute with TOHO about releasing this film.)

I have all of the American releases of the Showa & Millennium series, but opted to get all of the Heisei series on official Japanese DVDs since I wanted G'84 and Biollante. I ordered all 8 movies on ebay for $50-$60 (S&H included). All of them came from Hong Kong. I then used a DVD region converter software to rip them onto a DVD-R.

They look great, original Japanese dialogue with ENG subtitles.
I'd be more than happy to help anyone who is curious about this... I was really skeptical at 1st doing the converting, but it works great, extremely easy and allowed me to legally obtain the Japanese releases in a way I could view them.

now if only TOHO would hurry up and give MB the approval for Megalon I can finish out my collection!!
