Possible Star Wars connection?

Could the creature be an ancestor of Admiral Ackbar? I do see a resemblance and since Star Wars takes place a long time ago in another galaxy, is it possible a relative of Ackbar made it to planet Earth and the creature is a result of that?

he also killed Sandy and Danny in GREASE when they went swimming which is why they fly away at the end.

then he married Barbra Forste and produced Sarah Jessica Parker
