Audrey Hepburn - So thin

Was she wearing a corset in this movie? Because her waist looks tiny. Not particularly unattractive, just distracting and out of proportion with her baggy clothes and the size of her head.

Did she have an eating disorder? I'm not degrading her, i'm just curious.

Your future is all used up...

it's a well known fact that she was suffering from malnutrition growing up during the war. that would explain a lot of your question

I always knew Audrey was tiny, but her figure in the ball scene looked tiny even for her. Her waist was disproportionately tiny compared to her shoulders.

She did look for the rest of the movie though, considering she was wearing a "princess" outfit during the ball, they probably pulled in her weight for that particular outfit.

(I didn't read the whole thread.)

I've read that her metabolism was messed up when during the war, she and her mother hid from the Germans and lived on whatever they could find, including tulip bulbs.

There was a fashion among actresses to have the tiniest waists possible in the 1950s. I don't what they went through to achieve that particular vanity. But Jayne Mansfield achieved a 19" waist. And the TV presenter turned actress, Vampira, had an even smaller waist than that.
