Who is Audrey Hepburn for 21st Century?

Of all today's actresses, I think Natalie Portman and Rooney Mara are the only ones that could get into Audrey's shoes. If I had to chose between them, I would chose Rooney Mara. Don't get me wrong - I know that Audrey is the one and only, beautiful beloved actress, icon of style and charm and great humanitarian. Just want to say that Rooney is very reminiscent of Audrey by her looks, physique , appearance and talent. She also radiates some sort of innocence.

I loved her in this movie.

Nobody today could come near Audrey Hepburn.

She had such a perfect combination of beauty, talent, charisma...and more importantly was just a wonderful human being on top of all of that. She also lived in a time when movie stars were actually movie stars. The Golden Age of Hollywood is hard to beat.

I understand your post was to stir up a debate and discussion, but in my opinion, it’s just laughable to compare anyone today to Audrey Hepburn. There’s not even anyone today I could consider in the same stratosphere.

Love this film by the way! Audrey is phenomenal, and her and Gregory Peck had a great chemistry. These old movies just have that magic to them.

Possibly Christina Aguilera.

No one.

Looks wise yeah sure Natalie and Rooney could be considered similar looking but Audrey had a refined voice and came across so lovely and bubbly.

I like Natalie a lot but she's not as adorable as Audrey was personality wise on screen. I haven't seen a lot of Rooney but from what I have seen she comes across as an empty void, totally lacking in personality.

Audrey had that special something-something. Charisma in spades.
