I was so exciteed to watch this movie but it is so jumpy amd so un romantic and poorly acted (except Donna Reed!) that it was hard to enjoy. any one else???

So what did you think of the remake, Pearl Harbor: "It's a love story." Absolutely pathetic, and made that way deliberately so to appeal to the modern movie public.
shareI never understand a film criticism of a classic in which it is "out dated." Can anyone please explain this to me.
I feel like criticizing a film being outdated is a poor criticism. Likewise, this is also how I feel everytime someone says a film is "pretentious."
