Sinatra's my favorite singer ever, but an Oscar for this,a joke.

I thought that Donna Reed and Montgomery Clift were great but the other performances were not. Especially Sinatra's.I've seen him better in at least 5 movies especially "Suddenly" I'd have given Sinatra's Oscar to Jack Palance for "Shane".

I have never liked "Suddenly" but I think his performance in "The Manchurian Candidate" was outstanding.

I thought Sinatra's character in 'Suddenly' was chilling. He made his underlying psychosis very believable; not to mention (even though in B&W); those steely eyes of his adding to that psychosis.

I've never seen the movie Suddenly but I have seen him in quite a lot and I think he played his character well in this, he was the most interesting character in it, although maybe not award winning.

real human being and a real hero

I thought Sinatra was the best actor in the film (and that is saying something), and this is coming from someone who doesn't really like the man.

I enjoyed the movie and I think everyone in it did a great job. But, in all honesty, I don't really watch movies thinking in terms of awards; what they won; what they should have won; what they will win, etc.

Awards are decided in relation to all the movies that are released and the performances given within a particular year. Having not seen the other movies and performances that were eligible that year, I don't feel I'm in the position to judge whether or not this movie or any of the actors were the right choice to win.

Even if I had seen all the movies, I would be watching them from where I sit today in 2015; sixty-two years later and far removed from the emotions of the time or the emotions the movie may have stirred in those audiences back then. Many factors go into what makes a movie great. I'm not saying that can't be determined years later, but to attempt to rewrite history makes little sense and, I feel, is wrong.

The mob thought he was deserving. What's done is done. Let's just drop it, alright wise guy?

But honestly, he was as good as the rest of the cast. In fact, I was - surprisingly - a bit more impressed with his performance than Monty's. Sinatra's role was kinda meaty, and he nailed it.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

Sinatra has always been overrated. Also he was extremely ugly and had a horrible-looking body. The first scene in this movie when he is in an undershirt made me wonder why he had so many women fans.

We're on a mission from God.
