What a piece of work. She was disappointed that the visiting PTA women wouldn’t all commit to adopting children right on the spot and then when Anna expresses interest she presumes to choose the child for her — an older, problem child, of course. Were I an adult watching in the audience at that time, her portrayal would have put me off any thoughts of adopting.
