I thought it would be fun to start a thread of trivia questions.
Hopefully, they won't be too frustratingly difficult, OR too
easy.

Here's the first.

As we know, Lucy bought herself a lot of new furniture in those
six broadcast years (I say "broadcast" because it's really seven,
in that they ADDED a year to Ricky's age between spring of '56
and fall of '56 (instead of being three-and-a-half, he's four-and-
a-half).

At any rate, there are TWO distinct episodes in which ONE set
of the "old stuff" gets to be seen before the "new stuff" is bought.

Can you name the two episodes?

Not positive, but I think Redecorating and Lucy Wants New Furniture.

You're right, but I made a mistake with the question. It's actually THREE episodes.

"Redecorating", "Lucy Wants New Furniture" and "Lucy Gets Chummy With The New Neighbors."

I worded the question wrong. What I meant to say, was:

Which episode contains one set with one set of furniture - for the entire episode - once ONLY.

Interesting coincidence. I saw a show the other day that had bit of Lucy trivia.

I was watching one of my DVDs of Seinfeld. I listened to a commentary of an episode written by Carol Leifer. She wrote a line in the episode describing someone as "old, but spry". She said that it was a tribute to an ILL episode where the line was used. I knew immediately what episode she meant.

So in which episode who is described as "old, but spry"? And who said it?

I have a feeling that this will be super easy for gbennett!!

I believe it was said by Fred in the Hawaiian Vacation episode referring to Lucy in her old lady disguise to fool Frank Nelson's character.

I believe you're right. And "Ricky's Hawaiian Vacation" is one of my favorite episodes, despite how implausible
the script is.

As for my trivia question, "Lucy is Matchmaker", from season two, is the only episode to feature one set of
furniture ONCE ONLY for an entire episode (the home show furniture. The other furniture episodes show
Lucy's "old stuff" in the opening scene; the new furniture in the rest of the episodes).

Yes, that's the right episode! But I think it was Ethel who said the line.
