Strains credulity
…that a warden would so admire a convict as to welcome him romancing his daughter upon parole. Even if Hufford was wrongly convicted, he adhered to the prison code of not being a snitch (despite witnessing the aftermath if a murder). Some might see that as honorable but a former DA? It certainly wasn’t brave of Hufford — he didn’t stick his neck out to assist the warden or obtain justice for the victim. Plus a convict has uncertain employment prospects and Hufford seemed to suffer from PTSD from his time in prison. Not promising material for a son-in-law, one would think.
