In this day and age, is this film too much for under 15's?

Can't believe it's still a 15 given what they get away with in what are nowadays rated as 12.
Great film, and it having a higher rating may put some off, thinking they are going to watch some overly violent film.

12 is more than enough to see this.

I saw it when I was eight. I enjoyed it, and I did not grow up to be a train robber or psycho killer. But that was sixty years ago when kids were quite a bit more mature than they are today.
