can you help me list other films with phones so important

I'm trying to write a paper on films where the phone practically becomes a character. If it weren't for phones the story wouldn't happen. The easy ones are Dial M for Murder and Sorry, Wrong Number. But there are others like His Girl Friday or even new films like Vantage Point or Phonebooth.

Can you help me think of others? I'm trying to look at how technology, specifically the phone, can move a story line.
Thanks

I'm sure this is too late but Black Christmas! They even show the technician trying to trace the call in the central office. They don't do it like that anymore but they used to.

So how did your paper turn out?

1. So, how did your paper turn out?

2. All of the aforementioned films were good suggestions, but I want to add
one more: "Bye, Bye, Birdie" (1962). All of the girls on their Princess
telephones--cute!

3. An outstanding episode of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" in which
Olivia (actress Mariska Hargartay) spends almost the entire episode on the
telephone with a little girl kidnapped by a psychopath. (I forget the titleof
the episode at the moment. I will have to look it up on the episodes list
for "Law and Order: Special Victimes Unit's" IMDB episode titles list.)

The terrifying 'Twilight Zone' episode: "Night Call" (1964) Gladys Cooper is a cranky old spinster-she receives midnight calls from her telephone-which becomes an instrument of terror...

So when it comes to TV productions, there are several years of DR. WHO where the phone box is an indispensable character!!
