Two big flaws in this film
1). The romance between Fred and Peggy was sudden, contrived, cheesy
2). The film, perhaps as a result of the era, ended too upbeat, with all the characters ending happily ever after. Fred reunites with Peggy, Homer gets his girl, and Al just goes on. Nobody seems to end poorly, which doesn’t feel accurate or realistic
