Great Cast
This is one of those ensemble movies that is made better because it's so well cast. The three brothers (Van Johnson, Mickey Rooney, and Jack Jenkins) all look alike and are very believable as brothers. I think this is Rooney's best performance, as I'm not usually a fan of his, but here he is restrained and sympathetic.
Then you've got the lovely Marsha Hunt and Donna Reed, Frank Morgan, Fay Bainter, James Craig, and even Robert Mitchum in an early performance. I thought each of these actors were very well suited for their parts.
