shareI like the movie, but the ending kind of bugs because given the way Kate was portrayed in the film, there is no way she would be ok with going to the past no matter how in love with Leopold she was. A strong willed woman who is used to modern technology wouldn't last very long in that time.

Eight year old spoilers.
Beware.
Three 1/2 Stars for me (-5). I really liked it. It was better than expected. Yes, silly, but fun and nice.
Can you fly this plane?
Surely you can't be serious.
I am serious,and don't call me Shirley
I think the reason why it didn't do great at the Box Office was because of the whole time travelling device the director used in this movie. I for one loved the film as well as it reminds me of Enchanted starring Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey
shareI remember an odd swell of negativity around this movie when it came out. People thought the premise was too silly, Hugh was not the big star he is today, and there was some backlash against Meg Ryan for what I can't remember. Just wasn't well received. There was also romcom fatigue. They were coming out left and right around this time. Was this the same year as Serendipity? What Women Want. All the McConahey ones. They were coming out a few every year around the turn of the millennium. I remember them mocking that on them silly entertainment news shows. People were sick of it
shareSerendipity was out in 2001 while What Women Want was out in 2000.
