shareDisney didn't start losing steam until the 1960s.
shareFair point, but at least those movies in that decade had charm too.
shareThey did. And I even enjoyed The Rescuers when I was a kid. Pete's Dragon. The Cat from Outer Space. Lots of good family entertainment into the 1980s. I guess the big dropoff came in the 90s. I have never understood the appeal of Alladin or The Lion King.
shareDon't you worry. As much as I enjoyed Aladdin and The Lion King, I still have many other Disney animated movies that I consider favorites. Well, most of them apparently. Such a shame that the recent ones just aren't my favorites. I mean, Encanto was good, but I just don't consider it as great as anyone makes it out to be.

My two favorite Disney animations were some of their last hand drawn ones - Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, but possibly because they both had a strong humor component to them.
