Funny Thing about the Coroner's Examination

I love this movie. But after all these years, I began to wonder about the coroner's post mortem.

He sings that he thoroughly examined her. HOW did he examine the witch with a whole house on top of her? I think it would be obvious if someone was crushed under a house that they were deceased. Who would need a coroner? And what did he examine anyway? Her feet? LOL

Human deaths, even in Oz, have to be verified with an official document and examination declaring death. My uncle died in Oz and my cousin still has his death certificate.

As for the examination itself, even if The Morgue Guild failed to extract the body, he can still examine the feet to detect a pulse.

Perfectly funny retort, indeed!

What coroner? There was no coroner in the movie.

Her feet certainly, but just *maybe* he peaked under the house and saw the old bat cut in half!
