What Year is This Movie Set In?
Clearly it is after the Civil War, but can anyone narrow the date to five years span?
Based on the women's clothing, it's the mid 1870s to mid '80's. The Republican convention was held in Chicago several times in the 1880s. Also Wikipedia gives the date as 1880.
