Yes, it is. I prefer vintage movies of "Old Hollywood" over all the gratuitous violence that became common from the seventies onward.

Would they back in the day play the '83 movie? It's a different era and it's hard to compare the two.

I haven't seen the 1983 version. But the 1932 version which I watched last night was great!
