I saw it for the first time tonight and really enjoyed it. Most movies I watch from that time period tend to be difficult to sit through. With Metropolis, I actually wanted to see how everything turned out in the end.

When I first discovered it I watched it a couple of times. It was mesmerizing.

I just finished it now, for the first time. It is really good. The scale of it, is immense. I watched the fully restored version, and the restored footage really does the film justice.

For 1927, this film is an incredible achievement. It has really dark concepts that it deals with, but it has a wonderful message of hope.

Truly a film to enjoy.

Saw it again today CGI isn't necessary for great special effects!
