A lot of grueling work to make this depiction of 2026

Uncomfortable and painful costumes, dangerous stunts, cold or boiling hot weather conditions, film making errors etc.. That was interesting to read in the IMDb trivia section. Interesting too that the film's futuristic year is only 9 years away now. At the time the film was being made, 2026 was a whole century away.

This is one of my favorite films and I have seen it many times but somehow "2026" went completely over my head. In what part of the film is this stated?

Sounds like Camelot is referring to the film being 100 years old... in 10 more years.
