Of course what they did was mean. They were assholes for nominating her. But I think the word "abuse" is used a little too loosely here.

I agree with you. Badmouthing a child, coming from adults, may be a form of bullying I suppose.

At least they removed her nomination and issued an apology. It probably won't do crap for the damage to her self-confidence though.

I didn't know that they nominate young children for Razzies, and it kinda feels off that they do. There should hardly be an expectation that they're anything approaching fully formed performers. Yes, occasionally you get one who is fantastic; but generally they're kids doing their best, with little experience, trying to become good actors. Hardly great for a 12 yr old's confidence.

I don't think she should have been nominated. Her performance was fine for the film.

She was even better in American Horror Story. I think it's kind of tragic they nominated her considering she's just a child.
