In a recent NY Times interview, Vance was asked if his wife, Usha, had converted to Catholicism from her Hindu faith. He explained that she had not, but their family still attends church together. "No, she hasn't [converted]. That's why I feel bad about it. She's got three kids. Obviously, I help with the kids, but because I'm kind of the one going to church, she feels more responsibility to keep the kids quiet in the church."

Is Vance a cuckold or just saying it is not his job to raise his children?

No, he is saying she goes to his church to be supportive of him, not because she shares the same religion. So she ends up watching the kids so that he can pay attention. I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand. He's talking about going to church, and you turn it into a weird sexual thing. WTF is wrong with you?

as that seems to be an odd statement.

But yeah....there seems to be a weird thing around this place about cuckholding.

In the context of the conversation he was explaining if from her perspective. I don't think it's as weird as people are trying to make it.
