shareThey didn't go nuts. They calmly questioned his stupid comment and he tried to back it up by telling them to Google it.
shareWhat was the 'talking point'? I'd rather not watch the video if it can be helped.
shareHe said Nikki Haley is past her prime. Poppy Harlow was confused and asked if he meant in terms of women giving birth, but he didn't really answer and just kept saying to check Google because it says women her age are past her prime.
shareOh, wow! I didn't realise he was being misogynist. I assumed from another thread that he was simply saying that Haley was no longer 'flavour of the month' so to speak, when he said she was past her prime. But if he's making references to Tate, then that is problematic.
shareA little more context. Nikki Haley is pushing for competency tests for politicians over 75. Suggesting that they aren’t in their prime. Don Lemon tried to take a shot at her, but suggesting that she wasn’t in her prime either, but he was conflating physical prime with mental prime.
What he said isn’t an Andrew Tate talking point, it’s technically correct, but it had nothing to do with the conversation.
It’s also the second time in a few weeks that he said something that went against the liberal rhetoric. I can’t seem to find the other video, but he was talking men’s and women’s sports.
Edit: Found it. His take starts at about 2:10 on the video.

With all due respect, Nikki Haley is also an ageist jerk for pushing a competency test, and if Don Lemon was having a dig at her on *this* basis, I retract my criticism of him, and say, more props to Don for standing up for the elderly.
shareIf you just want to go after her ok he did that. But his comments were way off the mark. Don Lemon brought up a woman’s physical prime, and dating marketplace value in to a conversation about mental acuity.
At best it was a strawman. But if we are being honest, he was just confusing 2 different issues.
how is pushing a competency test ageist?
If anything its giving old people a loophole , a new shot , a clear path to what might otherwise be a closed avenue.
Pretty funny coming from a fucking fairy.
