All I have heard is that it's supposed to start on the 8th and last 13 weeks.
My buddy thinks she will see no jail time at all. I suspect she will get a few years, but it won't be anything close to the 20 years some people are saying.
To be fair, she is weird (ahem, mentally unbalanced) and was a dreadful employer, but she's done nothing everyone else in Silicon Valley hasn't done. The only exception being that her lies didn't pan out.
shareI think the main problem is that she applied a Silicon Valley mentality to the medical field. A blood testing machine is not like an app that orders you a pizza. There are real stakes and you're putting people's lives at risk if the results are not accurate. THAT is where she really fucked up.
sharePlus, she defrauded investors to the tune of millions. You don’t just walk away from that. She will plea down to around 7 years, plus restitution.

I have always wondered if she felt like she had everything under control and that getting the machines to work accurately just required more time, or if she knew that she had built a house of cards. Had she deceived even herself?
