He has recently aligned with a prominent Republican super-Pac. He tweeted 1,200 days (or something like that) when Biden got inaugurated, which pointed to Election Day 2024.

Does he have a shot

It's neat you picked him out of the line-up. But yes, he's most definitely a 2024 candidate for the Republican Party.

One issue that might hurt Pompeo in the suburbs is that he is too closely tied to Trump. He may also have to combat being boring

If Trump doesnt run,Pompeo is clearly the favorite! Other names that are circulating right now are Ron DeSantis,Kristi Noem,Rand Paul,Nikki Haley,Liz Cheney,Ivanka Trump,Ted Cruz.

Cruz is up for the Senate in 2024, and it’s going to be a difficult fight. I don’t think he will try to wage a two-front battle, fighting for both seats (even if Texas law technically permits him to run for both simultaneously)

DeSantis will run only if Biden’s approval ratings are low imo. Otherwise, he will wait until 2028. You often see the best candidates wait for the open election instead of challenging an incumbent

I dont think Biden will run in 2024. He is too old,around 2023 he will announce that he wont run for a second term for age reasons and the Dems will probably do the primaries too. Kamala will surely be the favorite for her role as VP but there could be some surprises.
