We don't care about Griner, we care that she was swapped for the freedom of a gun runner known as The Merchant of Death who supplied guns to terrorists and drug cartels. We care that Putin made a total fool of the U.S. and in doing so and set a precedent for grabbing a U.S. citizen to be used for an prisoner exchange. If you have one of your citizens convicted and imprisoned in the U.S., grab one of the U.S.'s citizens on an iffy charge, give him/her/they a long sentence, then swap said minor criminal for a big time threat to peace and safety in the world.

shareI'll concede that point: I honestly don't care she's back. I believe the charge was trumped up and the sentence too long for the crime (regardless of Russian law), but I'm far more concerned that Americans and other Westerners may die because of the gun runner being released in order to release her.
