The naming convention originates in Hebrew, as in David. Not Latin. The word that David was appropriated from was either Latin or we only have records of the Latin form of that word.
There are millions of people who are not Jewish but with a form of a name that originates in Hebrew. There's no requirement for you to be Jewish to have one. Same as there is no requirement for you to be Roman/Italian/Latin to have a name that you insist is derived solely from Latin origins and meaning.
