Other than that, a Serbian brought electricity to the US, a Serbian was one of the founders of original NASA, Serbian and French flags are the only foreign flags that flew on the White house.
Anything you can find better about the US are the extremes.

i think tennis is still tons of fun to watch, though i have to admit i don't watch as faithfully as i used to. but when i do, i think there are lots of exciting players. shapovalov for eg is a joy to watch. great.

The problem with the game is the offside rule. Take that out of the game and it would become a more exciting and high scoring game... but the reality is teams use the offside rule in a way that makes the game boring.

For one thing it would help to eliminate the bullshit tie crap that ends with a shoot out. When so many games end with a shoot out it begs the question why bother with the game at all just go to a shoot out and call it a day.
As for offsides rule, it has changed over the years and when it require fewer players in front of the attacker the scores went up. They didn't go to the level of basketball and never would. But there is no reason to think that the teams would suddenly just have 1 player sitting by the goal waiting for a long pass... If a team tried it you don't think the other team would also make sure to have one of their own defending him? It would change the strategy of the game, but precisely how is unknown since they haven't played in this manner... but it would eliminate the bullshit calls now and strategies that are often used to force an offside which slows the games down.
Most likely if you ditched the offsides rule you would have a faster game with players forced to run more. It might require cutting the number of players on the field at any one time down and allowing more substitutions throughout the game, but something needs to change because the number of tie games and games going to shoot outs is what makes the games boring and pointless.

Lol, what? No, without the off-side rule you get goal-hanging (by defenders as well) and long, boring passes. While now, players are forced to dribble and make short passes instead.

I don't think the game needs to be changed to the point that you are seeing double digit final scores, but it needs to be modified so you get enough points during a game that the game doesn't end in a damn tie half the time. Having a game decided by a shoot out is about as random as one can get. they might as well just flip a coin to decide who wins.
