They've got this argument all wrong.

Teams should be represented 50/50 or as close to it as possible between the sexes. That's equality.

No one's interested in watching women's football on a league basis because the market is already saturated. And it's saturated due to decades / centuries worth of societally ingrained misogyny saying women can't play the sport. They will never catch up being segregated.

There's absolutely no reason why women can't play on the same team, other than culturally accepted sexism. And whilst many top women can't earn a decent living, there are many, many garbage male players who do.

So let's sort this out - A minimum of five players per sex in ONE first team and let's see which coaches can figure out how the systems would best work then.

If women were allowed to play on the same team as the men, you would soon start complaining about the height and strength differences. All it would take is for a male player to knock over and injure one of the women, and you'd be baying for his blood. Face it, women aren't capable of playing in the NBA, nor do they deserve the big bucks when they fail to bring in viewers and advertising.
