The only superhero movies I consider to be "real art" are the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies.

Even Christopher Nolan's Batman films don't reach the level of heart and soul as those movies.

Burton Batman > Nolan Batman

I actually wasn't too fond of Burton's Batman. Granted, I only saw it once years ago. I don't remember exactly the reason I didn't like it very much. Probably because I felt like it lacked heart. I liked the second one better.

Roger Ebert said films are the art form of the 20th Century.

Films I consider to be true art are:

Metropolis (1927)
The Godfather (1972)
Chinatown (1974)
Star Wars (1977)
