Yea.... no. They're both human and have dark skin, the resemblance ends there.

That's actually untrue. They are very similar looking men, beyond just their skin colour.

I find the insinuation that it's a racist observation quite tiring. Does Will Smith look like Washington? Not at all. Morgan Freeman, Forest Whitaker, Mekhi Phifer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jamie Foxx?? No, no, no, no, no and no. But Boyega - hell yes they look like they could be blood relatives.

I don't see it, in terms of talent I think someone like Daniel Kaluuya is more in the vein of Denzil especially after his performance in Get Out and Widows. Also we can say Denzel's son John David Washington from Klansman is probably the one who looks a lot like him lol.
