Singer of The Worst Band of All Time Jumps Off Balcony

So I'm supposed to feel sorry for him? He was an egotistical twat , how else could you wind up in a band like One Direction?

He probably realized what a loser he was when the label dropped him. If he cared anything about music or had any real talent he wouldn't care about being dropped by a record label.

Trashing a hotel room, you don't deserve any sympathy for that. He needed to go to a jail cell. Twats like him never get any punishment. They never learn their place. So he kills himself after a drug and alcohol fueled drunken fit of rage, after making a career being in the WORST band of all time. And the public wants us to give him sympathy?

Just scrape him off the pavement and let's move on.

I believe he was married and leaves behind a son. No matter what way you look at it it's a tragedy. One Direction had some fun and catchy songs.

reply

Why is it a tragedy always when someone takes their own life?

John Lydon (Rotten) Once said, of Kurt Cobain's suicide (paraphrasing here): "I have no sympathy for anyone who takes their own life. Life is the most precious thing we have"

Killing yourself because you feel sorry for yourself , due to your own misery and self indulgence?
That is a tragedy?

No. A tragedy is "an event causing great suffering, destruction, and distress, such as a serious accident, crime, or natural catastrophe". An overly egotistical winner of Britain's American Idol killing themself in an act of total self obsorption. That is absolutely not the definition of a "tragedy".

Worst band? Ever heard of Limp Bizkit?

reply

At least Limp Bizkit wrote their own songs. And they could play instruments.

reply

Despite all that they’re still worse ☠️

reply

People in Boy Bands aren't musicians, and Boy Bands are not "bands". They are just models who look good in pictures.
So, there is no comparison between the two. One is an actual band comprised of musicians, the other is not.

reply

It’s a band with singers. The voice is an instrument

His death was recently ruled an accident.

Whether he was the member of One Direction or a cashier at Walgreens, he was still a human being and now a child is growing up without a father. That is a tragedy.

reply

I mean, he... travelled the world being famous making thousands of dollars.... that wasn't enough for him.. I'm supposed to feel sorry for him. Okay. People die all the time. There's a funeral home right next to me, there was probably at least 10 visitations and funeral services there in the past month. Or more. And alot of them have few or little loved ones left. So why am I supposed to feel sorry for this guy? I don't even know him , he could have been a horrible person. I don't know. There's no reason why I should believe he was a great or admirable person. A cashier at Walgreens might have been a nicer, more caring and considerate person than him. At least they know the value of hard work.

reply

No one is saying you have to feel sorry for him, but some compassion for the loved ones he's left behind would be nice. A child losing their parent whatever the circumstances isn't tragic to you?

Making loads of money and traveling the world doesn't equal happiness. I know very little about Liam's life outside of him being a member of One Direction, but I do know the entertainment industry is a demanding beast with a long string of bodies and broken souls in its wake.
