You are not reading the whole quote. This isn't even misspeaking, as the Post article claims. She's speaking of a threat to democracy, and the Post is deliberately misconstruing it as a threat from democracy. I wouldn't even call this journalism. Muck-raking? Well, I suppose you could call it that. It's hardly worth discussing. I certainly wouldn't call it news. Just more evidence of poor editorial decisions by the NYP.

If Trump or Pence had said that, it would be breaking news for at least 3 weeks and Nancy would try to impeach again, citing that Trump is against democracy. But when a democrat says something stupid, no one cares.

I wanted civility when Trump was president too, it never happened. Trump couldn't walk down a ramp using handrails without everyone making fun of him. I just find it interesting that stuff like this or when Joe agreed and said Lets go Brandon, never gets mentioned on the news. And if it does it will quickly be buried under other breaking news. We are all stuck with a uninformed dementia riddled Pres for 3 more years. what can go wrong?

Although Trump wasnt your usual President, he got a lot done. My fav one is when he dropped Kim Jong Un to the curb. He was the first President to not be scared of NK. NK restarted their nuke test program, but no one cares now.
