awful

Perfect example of nepotism. Crappy actor only getting a shot because they have a famous parent. Happens too much nowadays

reply

Very good on AHS.

She's not bad. Just not her mother.

reply

I just saw her in Confirmation and I thought she was awful, went on IMDB only to find out she's Streep's daughter and it all makes sense.

This is an unfair generalization. Often nepotism makes it harder for the child. Consider Lorna Luft. Trust me: perhaps casting agents pause with her resumé but if she's not good, it won't matter if her parents are god.
I saw Gracie's work in both "The Newsroom" and in "Mr. Robot." She's a very skilled actor, unafraid to use silence and internal thought to create tension or a pensive moment for the audience. I've worked in show business for four decades, hiring actors a part of my work. Grace Gummer is remarkable and someday will be placed in a role to showcase it.
Just watch.

Ok, you're completely wrong, but thats ok. Someday you'll be right about something.

You being able to cast actors or scout talent for 40 years with that type of silly synopsis on this bland privileged child, shows exactly why HollyWood is on a decline.

Unbelievable... This broad is a waste of film and hideous. I suddenly feel better when looking in the mirror knowing that someone exist that could be considered uglier and less talented than me.

reply

Grace is no more talented than the cast of Girls, all of whom will soon be facing harsh reality after that series shoots its last episode. At least her name isn't as stupid sounding as her sister's.

reply

She is great in Mr. Robot!! Why do people keep trying to put others down? As if their opinion was so important.

Bad people protecting good people by killing worse people.
