Yeah I always thought this too; that he has a look similar to many superman's.
I wonder about a superman movie or short film with RJ though.. if you wrote this particular incarnation of Clark Kent specifically for RJ.. I think it might make for a more developed character with humane qualities.. superman is always portrayed as this handsome, all-powerful man who through the good upbringing from his parents ends up being this christian-do-gooder type superhero who doesn't or tries not to kill any of the badguys he subdues.
Whereas with RJ you could have a character that struggles a bit through his younger years with some kids mocking the way he speaks or moves and being unable to prove how great he is because he has to keep his powers a secret, but ultimately with having good friends and parents who are extremely communicative and nurturing he overcomes these things but not without gaining insight into how those who are trodden-on can feel.. not to mention knowing all the insults in the book he would have some good comebacks to any insults he receives from would-be super-villains.
