Someone needs to make an Artimis Fole movie with him as Arty

they ARE making an Artemis Fowl movie. Whether or not they consider Asa Butterfield as Artemis remains to be seen.

He's a really good candidate. But I think it will be a little overkill, as he already is Hugo Cabret and Ender.

He would be a great artimis but I fear he would grow out of the role before they finished the movies

One of the reasons that people want Asa to be Artemis is because he gets a lot of exposure these days. He's also connected to children's/young adult books.

But will he get the role?

1. Yes, because Hollywood mostly pick current popular actors for similar roles as their previous ones, and/or in blockbusters (Artemis Fowl is going to be huge).

2. No. Asa wants to try other kind of characters than just youthful main characters/leading roles in sci fi and fairy tale films. Hugo and Ender have been his contribution to these genres. And I believe he thinks it's enough.

If you pick 1, then Asa might end up as the new Ryan Renynolds who's playing characters with super powers a lot.

That's a fantastic idea. I can't believe with all the teen series adaptations an Artemis Fowl adaptation still hasn't gotten off the ground. It's ridiculous, considering the amount of crap they're willing to quickly adapt. If they'd done it a few years earlier, they could have made it a trilogy, and he could have been in all of them. But like others have said, he'd probably be too old by the time they get their heads out of their as$es and finally adapt it.
