She was doing the best she could with poor writing.
I just don`t understand `Gleeks`completely irrational hatred of her.
Other than a show about teenagers is bound to attract fans with the same maturity level.

Many people who watched the show liked the character Melissa portrayed but a vocal minority made a lot of waves on social media. It's unfortunate.. but whatever it's in the past. Maybe someday the haters will grow up.
I've seen people who refuse to watch Supergirl because they're still holding the parg Melissa played on Glee against her.
Not watching a show because it's not something you're interested in is one thing but refusing to watch a show because you didn't like the part the actor played on a different, completely unrelated show, is petty and catty, not to mention bat-$hit insane.
Because they're a bunch of 12 year old girls.

shareI watched Glee from episode 1. I really like Melissa. I am absolutely happy she is succeeding. I thought she has great chemistry with Cory Monteith (Finn). The problem with the season 4 newbies was that it was a rehash of the originals. The writing was already poor and when Cory died, that essentially was the end for her character. The problem is that with her gone, they didn't bother to give closure to her character at all. Her storyline was stupid to begin with and it was do Disney-fied that made people believe it was her. But it's not. Good for her and Grant Gustin (Sebastian). They're becoming more successful than the original Glee cast. The only ones I thought would be truly mainstream were Cory (I was wrong as he died) and Dianna (Quinn).

I think it's ironic how quickly Supergirl was let go from Glee and is now the breakout star from that show. Leah Michelle and the rest would kill for Melissa's career!
