They wanted a new Lara to match the new games.
She fits. It's the idea that is crap (a realistic, natural Tomb Raider).
The idea is crap but the last 3 games were fun to play. I'd prefer to see and play classic Lara from now on though.
They are fun but lost its soul, just a ripoff of their own ripoff (uncharted).
What made the series special was the bombastic Lara, I understand it became a self parody but the new realism is just ordinary fare nowadays.
It smells of Bond copying Bourne: just stay true to yourself.
Well now the new Lara is going to be an angry old cat lady lesbian. And I wish I were joking. :/

I thought she did a passable job with a so-so script which was essentially just a watered down version of the 2013 Tomb Raider video game's plot. Honestly I preferred the 2001 Angelina Jolie version. While nothing special it was at least a bit more fun.

They should have made a stand alone version of Tomb Raider, I think I wouldn't have had a problem with her.. simply because referencing forces our brains to compare and point out inaccuracies
Buy them a spoon and introduce them to instant coffee.
