What data are you predicating your thesis upon?

From my experience, as an African-American male who knows a great many biracial people, and who happens to also be married to a beautiful biracial woman-biethnic persons tend to gravitate, interact, and identify with African-Americans.

In accordance with America's racist historicity, a single "drop of Black blood" subjects those individuals towards being classified as African-American. This explains the reason Caucasian-American slave owners, after raping their female African-American slaves and impregnating those victimized women, were capable of enslaving their biethnic offspring with ease. A party host of Thomas Jefferson commented regarding his sense of unease while being served his meal by make slaves who resembled their owner.

Moreover, in relation to the overall accepting nature of African-Americans (more Caucasian-Americans have been nominated and won awards that have been created by African-Americans, i.e. BET Awards and there are more Caucasian-Americans accepted into Historically Black Colleges than African-Americans - some HBCs even have a majority Caucasian-American student bodies, who attend Predominantly White Universities despite having similar SAT scores and high school grades).

In reality, African-Americans have accepted biethnic people as belonging to their own communities. As a result, most self-identify as African-Americans. My wife and I have an inside joke that she is actually "Peach" rather than being "Brown," to which she invariably responds "I am an African-American woman!"

Her declaration is the constant among biethnic people rather than the anomaly.
