As another Brit I will confirm that Americans dominate the internet and anything you do leaks into our culture too.

For example during the recent elections a local political party used the slogan 'drain the swamp'. Another also mentioned making the country great again.

People stuck Biden stickers on gas pumps in Ireland, blaming him for the rise in the cost of fuel.

BLM became a big thing here in the UK. The trans debate is a big deal in the UK at the moment too.

This shit doesn't happen in Eastern Europe and Southern Europe. Britain is basically little America, culturally we share a lot more with Americans than some of our European brothers. That anglospshere English-speaking internet influence!

The internet is a childish place at times.

Karen came about because people wanted to meme about a stock character, a demanding and condescending middle aged White woman, who resides in the suburbs. I believe it all started with the 'can I speak to the manager haircut' meme. They wanted a name to stick to it.

Karen is just one of those conventional names White women were given more frequently a few decades ago than now, it's something a bit more common in 30-60 year olds. So helps conjure up the picture of a middle aged White woman.

It's evolved into what is essentially a slur against middle aged White women. Calling someone a Karen often carries the connotations that they're a racist asshole. Anytime a White woman clashes with a person of color they get called a Karen and accused of lying and being racially prejudiced.

i would guesses this yes. every video i see with 'karen' involve white woman who usually has eating problem or facelift requirements
