Karen would have been the absolutely perfect choice to play the new Mary Jane.

I totally agree that Karen Gillan would a perfect Mary Jane, she has the right look, a natural redhead, a former model and shown she has wit and a fiery nature. I can easily imagine her saying 'Go get them tiger'. The only real issue is how good is her American accent.

For some reason Brits have an easier time with American accents than Americans seem to have with British accents. I'm sure Karen would be awesome as MJ. Heck, we already have a British Batman and Superman.

When did Scotland leave Britain? I know they get to vote on independence from England and Wales in September 2014, but they've been Scottish and British since the union a few centuries ago.

UK and Great Britain are not interchangeable :)
