I think it's great that he's married!

I much rather handsome men be down to earth, centered, and family oriented than playboys. I don't understand women being so angry/disappointed that he's taken or pointing out his wife is older ad nauseum. Realistically, it's not like movie stars ever end up marrying a fan, so there is no chance with the man. So why not be happy he appears to be a well-rounded individual with his priorities in order?

I absolutely agree! I'd much rather concentrate on Armie as an actor, versus reading about his peers dating a new model every week and stumbling out of clubs every night at 4am. And so what if his wife is older? It's just 4 freaking years! I'm sure it is just a bunch of jealous little teenage girls, but they will soon grow up and realize how silly and ageist they are being. I guess we as a society have not evolved enough to accept when the woman is older, but I have to commend Armie. By the way he talks about her, it's obvious he likes her for her intelligence and personality versus just being a pretty face.

There are few things as fetching as a bruised ego on a beautiful angel.

Yes! Every time I've heard him in an interview he mentions how good of an influence she is on him. Before I knew her actual age I had asumed she way fifteen or twenty years older the way some people were going on and on about her being "old". Which even if that was the case, he's entitled to fall in love with whomever.

I agree that once you eliminate the distraction that is an actors personal life, you get to focus on their work more which is what makes them who they are to begin with.

But I do understand the need for some fans to have the fantasy that they "have a chance" with their favorite celebrity. I think we've all been there when we were younger but it crosses the line when it becomes open season against the person they are with.

Eh, don't think much of marriage. How many celebrities had affairs while being married, and got divorced because of said affairs?????

That's what the movies are for. You can fantasize all you want about his character in a movie, while admiring Armie Hammer the person and respecting real life boundaries. It's perfectly healthy to have fantasy crushes and act out scenarios in your mind.

I wholeheartedly agree with you.

I think it's because his fan base is going to be made up of a lot of very young (teens and early 20s) women who're still quite immature and lack life experience. That's why you tend to see a lot of those resentful comments.

I'm Armie's age (26, going on 27 soon) and I have an appreciation for men in my age group who have chosen committed relationships. Being married or committed to one person, especially when one is young, takes a type of maturity and selflessness that some people never find within themselves until they're much older. If anything it endears him to me more. He's in love and he's happy - I wish him all the luck in the world with his relationship.

It's an absolute shame that one can't be "down to earth, centered, and family oriented" as well as "single". Guess I have to wait a while before I find true fulfillment.

When you're 17 a cow can seem dangerous and forbidden...am I alone here?

Who ever said that? I wish people could compliment someone without another person taking it as a personal insult.
