Such embarrasing roles! Hollywood must hate her

I just saw Wish I was Here and she might as well have not been in the movie. What an embarrassing role! For someone who gets above the title billing on the poster, her role is ludicrously small. She's in it for maybe 5 minutes at most, and that's a generous approximation at that. Why even put her name on the poster at all?? I wonder why Zach Braff didn't want to give her a bigger role. The same can be said about most other filmmakers who have made similar decisions. I mean I have yet to see her have a substantial role in any major film. It seems the only thing she gets large roles in are obscure movies few people have ever heard of like LOL, Skateland and A Warrior's Way.

Kind of reminds me of Olivia Wilde who actually does score roles in many major films but they are almost always small embarrassing roles (In Time, Her, Rush, Year One)

Exactly. Wish I Was Here was a crowdfunded movie, and Ashley didn't "land" the role as she probably did it as a favor and for free/minimal pay.

On top of that, there are just so few written for women that she probably doesn't have that much to choose from. She'll be on TV's "Rogue" next, so that's probably something substantial.

The movie Kristy was supposed to go theatrical, but ended up getting pulled off the slate.
