You obviously have no understanding of how this business works. Good actors get work regardless of whether their movies are big hits. Whether their movies are huge box office success only effects their pay checks. That's it. Streep is going to have a movie out every year even if each one loses money. That's how it works.

Only an idiot with no regard to the facts would think this--obviously you are the sort of person who looks at headlines and doesn't bother with the details.
She has repeatedly stated how grateful she is for her fans. Repeatedly. Remember the time she broke through the barricade at a red carpet event to hug and chat with a disabled girl? Probably you don't. Are you aware of her annual visits to children's hospitals? Probably not.
Her point in this interview is that when she is not working and on on her own time, she doesn't like being interrupted by people asking for selfies and likes to be left alone, so she remains aloof and cold to dissuade people intruding on her. Pretty much every famous movie star will tell you that this is a necessity of the life. She's just more blunt about it. So please, get a clue.
