I’m watching it and it dawns on me, she’s channeling Oprah, and I’m not talking about the format, I’m talking about her demeanour and how she speaks over people in a loud way. When Oprah did it you go “fine, you’re Oprah, your opinion is king”, but when she does it? It’s sort of like “um you’re not Oprah”.
Even her narration over stories matches a Oprah’s narration.
I just caught about 10 minutes of her NBC morning show. Good God this chick is creepy in a Stepford Wives way. I also remember her from her Fox News days as an anchor but she behaved in a different manner (more objective, less pandering).
Is she really on NBC to serve as a counter-programming lure for people who hate Trump? Seems like it, and I'm a Liberal who does not support Trump, but I don't hate him enough to need to watch some one like Megyn. LOL
Did you get the oprah vibe? I’ve noticed she does a little “southern charm”, as Mississippi native Oprah would do, just say a few lines here or there in a southern accent to make a funny point. Problem is that Megyn isn’t Southern, she’s from Illinois!
A lot of people from Illinois have the southern accent,which is really a redneck accent.

The TV ratings for Megyn Kelly Today were abysmal from the start, and Page Six reported that it's, in part, because the polarizing anchor has a "likeability problem" that made her less popular than former Today anchors Ann Curry and Matt Lauer. Sources told Radar Online that Megyn Kelly Today was a ratings disaster, and that it infuriated Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford because the negative viewership bled into their fourth hour of Today — causing further drama between the anchors and the network's executives.share
Not only did Kelly have trouble getting viewers at home, Radar Online also reported that she had trouble filling up her studio audience. While other morning shows have six-month waiting lists, even giving tickets away during Today didn't help bolster Kelly's crowd, allegedly requiring camera tricks to make the studio look full of enthused audience members.
For her part, Kelly laughed off the negative reviews and audience reception, calling her premiere week "educational."
